What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider? The ability to care for and connect with patients in their most vulnerable state makes me passionate about being a healthcare provider. It is inspiring to work with patients to create a plan to manage their health concerns that is specific to their needs and to see the patient succeed in meeting positive health outcomes. In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? The role of a primary care provider is to create a partnership with the patient to obtain a comprehensive, holistic assessment that collects physical but behavioral health information. Through this assessment, the primary care provider and the patient can create an individualized, evidence-based practice care plan to help the patient achieve the best possible outcome. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my four children. We enjoy spending time outdoors, traveling to and cheering at sporting events, or playing board games. When not spending time with my children, I enjoy creating things with my hands through home projects, woodworking, and gardening.
